Admission procedure

1. the University of Mumbai Pre Registration form 2022-2023 must be filled in:

JES College of Commerce Science and IT with the College Code 956 to be selected. Take the hard copy / soft copy of the pre-registration form 2022-23 and keep it ready before you proceed.

2. Students are required to fill in the College Admission Form and select the subjects or group of subjects as per their choice; the details of which are given in the College Prospectus. Students must affix 2 (Two) photographs on the College Admission Form in the boxes provided.

3. Students must apply separately for each course if he/she desires.

4. Pre-admission: Students must submit the following in the College Office
(a) Duly filled in the printout of the Pre-Admission Enrolment form must be downloaded from the University Website; and
(b) Duly filled in the College Admission Form. He /She will receive a token/ receipt, which will be required for confirming his/her Admission after the Merit List.
Note: No Originals or photocopies of documents need to be submitted at this stage.

5. Merit lists will be put up and displayed by the College as per the University of Mumbai schedule.

6. Admission Confirmation: Once a student’s name appears in the College merit list, he/she must immediately contact the College office to confirm the admission. For this, he/she must carry- 

⚫ Print Out of Pre–Admission Online Registration Form for Academic Year 2022-2023. (University form)

⚫ Print Out of College Online Form.

⚫ 12th Result Original & Photocopy (2 COPIES)

⚫ Leaving Certificate Original & Photocopy (2 COPIES)

⚫ 1 Passport Size Photograph

⚫ Aadhar Card Copy

⚫ Caste Certificate (If Applicable)

7. On verification by the Admission Committee, the student should pay the required amount of fees in the Accounts Office and collect the Fee Receipt as confirmation of admission. The original Fee Receipt must be carefully preserved.

8. If a student fails to confirm his/her admission as stated above, his/her name will not be considered in the subsequent merit lists.
Important: All admissions are provisional and done strictly on a merit basis. Admission is confirmed on the basis of submission of original documents, scrutiny and approval of the Admission Committee and payment of fee as mentioned.
Note: The Admission Forms for FY Courses in JES College of Commerce, Science and Information Technology and the Prospectus are also available on the College Website for reference.

Important note:
1. The right of making subject combinations and the choice of electives mentioned in all faculties is vested with the Principal, depending on the demand for subjects and electives from students.
2. The number of seats for different subjects and the elective combinations will be decided by the Principal.
3. Subject(s) and elective(s), which do not have the minimum enrolment required by the Government/University, will not be offered.
4. Examinations of Semesters I, II, III & IV will be conducted by the college on half of the University of Mumbai as per the University schedule, rules, regulations and guidelines, while examinations of Semester V & will be conducted by the University of Mumbai.

DISCIPLINARY RULES AND REGULATION
Students joining the College have to strictly abide by the Rules and Regulations of the College.
1. Every student must wear the Identity Card which must have his / her Photograph (Passport) attested and basic personal information with Blood Group whenever he // she is on the College premises.
2. If any student is found guilty in any incident of ragging, strict disciplinary action against him/ her will be initiated by the concerned Authorities.
3. The Student must not loiter on the College Premises while the classes are going on.
4. Smoking & Consumption of alcohol on the College Premises or entering after consuming alcoholic drinks at the College is strictly prohibited.
5. No student shall collect any money or contribution for Picnic, Trips, Educational Visits to any Place, Get-togethers, Study Notes, charity or any other activities without prior permission of the Principal.
6. Students are expected to take proper care of the College Property and help the College Authorities in keeping the Premises clean. Damaging College Property (like furniture & fittings/misuse of AC etc.) is a breach of discipline and the guilty will be duly punished.
7. Students should not leave their books, valuables and other belongings in the classroom.
8. It is the responsibility of the students to read the Notice Boards regularly for important announcements made by the College Office from time to time.
9. Use of Mobile phones and hand devices is not allowed on Campus. The devices shall be confiscated, in case any student is found guilty.
10. Students using unfair means at examinations will not be readmitted to the College. Action will be initiated against such students as per the norms and procedures prescribed by the University of Mumbai.
